Reflection
Sometimes we look within expecting to find something that will reassure us. A voice reminding us of who we are. That we can trust. That what we fear is not necessarily true.
But sometimes there is no angel waiting on the other shoulder… we might just find two devils instead. The fears double down. The doubts reinforce each other. We search ourselves for certainty only to find the very voices we hoped to escape waiting deeper inside.
At that point, the work of fighting our demons comes not from destroying every darkness within us, but from slowly reconnecting with the parts of ourselves capable of letting some light back in…
