“Trying Times” reminds me of the way that certain people can meet us in the middle of difficulty without pretending the difficulty is gone. Life can leave us worn thin. Shredded by the time we get home. Breaking in ways we learn to hide because we do not always have the space to fall apart. And still, someone can become a pause. A breath outside the spiral. A reminder that life is not only the darkness we are trying to survive. That does not mean they carry everything for us. It does not mean they have to understand every burden or solve every ache.
